We are looking for a reliable, compassionate, and detail-oriented NDIS Cleaner to join our team.
Position Summary:
The casual NDIS Cleaner will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the homes or facilities of NDIS participants. This includes ensuring that all cleaning tasks are performed to a high standard, following individualised service plans, and respecting the specific needs of each participant.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform general cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing.
2. Clean bathrooms, kitchens, living areas, and bedrooms to ensure a safe and comfortable environment.
3. Dispose of waste properly and maintain an organized and sanitary environment.
4. Follow individual cleaning plans for each participant as specified in their NDIS plan.
5. Respect participants’ preferences and privacy while maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor.
6. Report any safety hazards, maintenance needs, or concerns to the relevant supervisor.
7. Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies to prevent the spread of infections and ensure the safety of participants.
Requirements:
1. Previous experience in cleaning, preferably in disability support or aged care.
2. Understanding of NDIS guidelines and commitment to providing participant-centered care.
3. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow cleaning schedules and individualised plans.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
6. Physical fitness and ability to perform cleaning tasks as required.
7. Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
8. Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
