Role
We’re looking for a Cook/Kitchen Hand to support our kitchen operations with a focus on high-quality food preparation and presentation. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to learn and grow in a dynamic environment. In particular you will be preparing food for our daily café operation.
Hours
The role offers flexible hours a week and we are looking for individuals who can work predominantly Monday to Friday. As we have a busy events schedule there is an opportunity to work additional hours and you will need to be flexible with your availability.
Duties
* Assist with food prep, cooking, and presentation according to our standards.
* Keep work areas clean and organized, including dishwashing, cleaning, and equipment storage.
* Adhere to food safety and hygiene practices.
* Learn various cooking techniques under the guidance of our senior chefs.
* Help with inventory management and kitchen support tasks.
Requirements
* Basic cooking knowledge and understanding of food safety.
* Strong interest in a culinary career and eagerness to learn.
* Queensland Certificate of Education or equivalent; culinary training is a plus.
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
* Good communication skills and flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
* Be willing to undertake a police check if required (paid by Employer)
