Moreover, she/he is focusing on sustainably deploying the Nutreco Supply & Demand planning standards across the Opco/BU and incites a continuous improvement mindset that drives a step-by-step improvement of the Supply Planning Process and cycle. Ultimate deliverable is the sustainable improvement of the IBP maturity towards level 3. The Supply & Demand Planning Manager is the link with Operations, Maintenance, Procurement, Formulation, Supply Chain teams and suppliers as well as (global) supply points.

JOB CONTEXT
The IBP, Supply & Demand Planning Manager is accountable for the management of the IBP, Customer Service, Supply & Demand Planning process, ensuring demand is fulfilled in accordance with customer request and specification, contributing to achieve the Opco/BU strategy and defined business targets. This is one of the essential supply chain positions for an Opco/BU, governed by policies and frameworks established by the Centre of Excellence (CoE) on global level.
The IBP, Supply & Demand Planning Manager level depends on the size of the organization that the Supply Planning Manager manages, which is aligned with the scope and complexity of the site / OpCo (number of plants / 3rd party manufacturing / production lines, customers, throughputs / capacities and size of the product portfolio).
The Supply & Demand Planning Manager supervises the Supply & Demand Network Planner(s), Production Planner(s) and Material Planner(s).
Depending on the size of the organization, this role is combined with the role of IBP lead. Driving the weekly and monthly IBP processes to ensure that the Supply Plans are realistic and escalate problems, should they arise.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Opco/BU Supply & Demand Strategy
* Provide input to the Supply Chain strategy and Opco/BU IBP strategy.
* Develop and ensure execution of the Supply & Demand strategy for the own Supply Chain department in order to improve supply excellence.
* Develop and ensure execution of the Plan policy for the own remit in line with the overall Supply Chain strategy.
* Contribute pro-actively to the strategic planning process (>15 months horizon).
* Define strategy for new businesses by analysing the latest trends and developments in the market and translating this to the own department.
* Lead and drive the demand segmentation process.
Integrated Business Supply & Demand Planning
* Aligned with Plant/Operations and third-party suppliers, co-drive the execution of the IBP process (operational and tactical horizon), organize all meetings according to the Nutreco standards, support and facilitate the Financial Forecasting Process.
* Participate, prepare, facilitate and lead assigned Supply meetings according to IBP standards.
* Prepare scenario decision documents for IBP process.
* Balance demand and supply in the most optimal way in terms of volume, revenues, costs, and margin and develop scenarios for decision making.
* Provide procurement, supply points and logistics departments with production plans in line with service levels, inventory, production parameters, targets and guidelines.
* Provide the commercial organisation with approved plans to fulfil demand.
* Optimize and implement changes to the supply network of the Opco/BU, in line with targets and guidelines (focus on OTIF and EBIT improvement), while understanding the impact for supply points connected to the network. Manage supply planning resources (capacity, critical materials, human resources) strategy & development for the IBP.
Integrated Business Supply Planning

* Lead the monthly IBP cycle for the Opco/BU resulting in One Plan, balancing demand & supply for a minimal 15 months' horizon. Make sure all involved in the process have a cross functional understanding and know their role and responsibility (RACI).
* Determine targets and ensure realization of performance regarding cost, quality and performance for planning & IBP activities (KPI set).
* Ensure the relevant plan parameters and required master data are up to date, well configured and reviewed on a regular basis representing the requirements of the market(s).

Demand Planning
* Develop and ensure execution of the Demand Planning strategy to improve demand excellence.
* Lead the Demand Planning cycles, collaborates actively internally (Sales & Marketing) and with Customers driving for high Forecast Accuracy and low Bias.
* Supervise and consolidate the Opco's/BU's unconstrained (or agreed upon constrained) demand plans from the demand planners into the Opco/BU IBP demand plan as input for the IBP Demand and Supply Network Plan.
* Supervise Opco's/BU's Account Review and Demand Review meeting(s).
* Communicate/report to the demand planners and commercial teams' decisions/constraints from the IBP cycle and drive the related actions to take place in the organisation.
* First point of contact for the commercial organization (Sales, Marketing, Species teams, Key Account team) for the operational and/or tactical planning horizon.
* Understand the impact of business dynamics (NPD/NPI, EOL, promotions, events, seasonality, tenders, contracts) in the demand plan.
* Understand, apply and maintain Opco's/BU's priority rule book (product & customer) based on input from Species, Key Account team and/or commercial teams (sales, marketing and formulation) and manage in case of e.g. constraints and matching of demand & supply.
Supply Planning
* Manage team responsible for preparing and optimizing the operational and tactical planning for the assigned supply network (internal and external capacity); by balancing demand, inventory and production and packaging capacity, identify constraints and opportunities as input for IBP and acquire agreement with the assigned supply points on the supply plan (tactical, operational as well as day to day (local) execution).
* Responsible for production planning, (raw) materials planning and intra- supply planning.
* Drive the execution of the S&O&E process (operational), organize all meetings according to the Nutreco standards.
* Responsible for ensuring that Planning Parameters within the ERP system are regularly reviewed and maintained by the team with clear ownership and accountability within the team.
* Responsible for making day-to-day decisions, where planning conflicts occur (E.g insufficient capacity for multiple orders) and where relevant, escalating for resolution to the Regional Supply Chain Manager.
* Provide the supply points with a realistic and attainable planning, in line with the identified guidelines and constraints.
* Discuss yearly maintenance plans with the plants.
* Develop relationships of trust with both internal & external parties, e.g. suppliers.
* Communicate/report to the supply planners and commercial teams' decisions/constraints from the IBP cycle and drive the related actions to take place in the organisation.
