About Corfield's ElectricalCorfield's Electrical is a leading Queensland Electrical Contractor providing construction, maintenance and industrial electrical services to the resources, energy and infrastructure sectors.We are involved in some of Australia's biggest and most complex projects and facilities, reflecting our position as a leader in our chosen markets.The opportunity:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cathodic Protection Electrician to play a key role in installing, maintaining, and repairing cathodic protection (CP) systems across the Gladstone region, including work on all wharfs and jetties. The role focuses on ensuring the long-term protection of critical infrastructure from corrosion, particularly in marine environments. This position requires a thorough understanding of CP systems, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards while collaborating with engineers and project teams. The successful applicant will have: Electrical Trade Certification or relevant qualifications in electrical work. CP system installation and maintenance experience, both sacrificial anode and impressed current systems. High Risk Working Licence (if working in hazardous environments or operating specific machinery). First Aid/CPR Certification. White Card (Construction Induction Training). Valid Drivers Licence for field mobility. Police Clearance. Strong knowledge of safety standards and regulations, including OSHA, ISO, or local industry codes. Working at Heights. NACE Certification (or equivalent) in Cathodic Protection (CP) systems. Advanced NACE Certification, such as NACE CP Level 2 or higher. Experience in corrosion engineering or related disciplines. Previous project experience with large-scale infrastructure, oil & gas pipelines, or marine structures. Proficiency with CP monitoring software and data analysis tools. Supervisory or leadership experience in overseeing CP installations or teams. Experience with specialized testing equipment, including reference electrodes, voltmeters, and rectifiers. Knowledge of local and international corrosion standards (e.g. ISO 15589). Experience working in remote or offshore environments, including oil platforms or marine facilities. Additional trade skills, such as welding or mechanical maintenance. Hazmat or environmental safety training, particularly when dealing with hazardous materials or chemical environments.
