School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences / UQ Physiotherapy Clinics Part-time (60% FTE), permanent position commencing January 2025 The full-time base salary will range from $98,582 - $107,349 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 7) Based at our St Lucia campus About This Opportunity Our School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences is inviting applications for a Principal Clinical Educator in Physiotherapy to support the clinical education and development of physiotherapy students on a part-time, continuing basis. We are seeking an experienced physiotherapist with strong neurological skills and knowledge who can deliver neurological and gerontology services in our Neurological, Ageing and Balance (NAB) Clinic. The ideal candidate will be keen to apply their clinical expertise to a diverse population of clientele, whilst educating the next generation of physiotherapy professionals. Due to clinic operational needs, we are looking for someone who is available on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. There may also be opportunities to take up additional work within the School, on an ad hoc basis, outside of this role. Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Clinical Education and Practice: Supervise students in clinical, preclinical and practical settings, g uide and deliver evidence-based interventions for clients, and monitor and evaluate students’ development. Administration: Perform administrative tasks, l iaise with clinical management and academic teams regarding student placement and assessments, and support School service activities. About You A degree in Physiotherapy with relevant clinical experience (four years’ experience is desirable). Demonstrated recency and currency of practice with advanced knowledge and ability to deliver evidence based clinical practice in the area of neurological physiotherapy. Demonstrated knowledge of clinical education issues and blended methods of clinical education. Demonstrated abilities as an effective educator and communicator in the area of physiotherapy clinical education such as student supervision, educational evaluation, training and assessment marking. Ability to develop and implement innovative methods of instruction in clinical settings to enhance clinical skills and knowledge development. Ability to prioritise tasks, multi-task and manage time effectively. Experience in vestibular physiotherapy and the management of people with Parkinson's Disease would be advantageous. Mandatory Requirements You must maintain unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment to apply (visa sponsorship is not available for this appointment).
