We are looking to employ a solicitor with 0-3 yearsPAE to be part of our small but busy criminal law firm.This is a unique opportunity 2 hours from Sydney and 1 hour from Canberra for a candidate seeking invaluable advocacy experience to further your career.The successful applicant would:Have a passion for criminal law;Be confidant to immediately appear in Local Court proceedings;Like working in a team environment;Possess a high level of resilience and emotional intelligence;Have strongattention to detail and superb written and verbal communication skills;Be highly motivated and sensitiveto the needs of our often disadvantaged client base.Your RoleManagement of your own client files and responsible for matters in the Local Court from start to finish;Appearance in the Local Court for bail applications, sentences and defended hearings;Appearance in the District and Supreme Court for mentions;Instructing Counsel in trials and sentences in the District and Supeme Court;Appearance in tribunals such as the Mental Health Review Tribunal and NCAT.You will be mentored by a very experienced, well respected criminal lawyer. This will be highly challenging yet rewarding work.
