We have the perfect opportunity for an experienced full-time Maintenance Supervisor to join our amazing team. Reporting to the Chief Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the maintenance department, including managing staff, ensuring safety compliance, conducting routine inspections, and coordinating repair and maintenance tasks across the hotel. You will also play a key role in preventive maintenance, staff training, and ensuring guest satisfaction by minimizing disruption during maintenance activities.
Job DescriptionALL about the role: Act as the 2IC for the maintenance department, supporting the Chief Engineer in daily operations.Supervise and train the maintenance team, ensuring compliance with SOPs and WHS regulations.Conduct regular site inspections to identify maintenance needs, address safety concerns, and resolve building defects.Oversee and prioritize maintenance requests, ensuring timely and effective resolution.Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for equipment and machinery.Manage external contractors and schedules to minimize guest disruption.Maintain and oversee building systems, including plumbing, electrical, and fire safety.Manage departmental budgets to ensure cost efficiency.Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.Provide leadership by directing staff performance and ensuring corrective actions when needed.Expected to work weekends and public holidays as part of the role's responsibilities.QualificationsALL about you: Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Maintenance Handyman or in a similar role.Background in hospitality maintenance is preferred.Trade qualification or relevant industry experience.Strong professional written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work with minimal supervision while ensuring operational efficiency.Additional InformationWhy work for Accor?Accor is one of the largest global hospitality businesses, with over 5400 Hotels across 110+ countries, the career development opportunities are endless.
