The Y Northern Territory has exciting opportunities available for Early Childhood Educators, based at our Little Mangoes (Grevillea and Sadadeen in Alice Springs) centre in Katherine. The role of the educators is to:
* Develop and maintain respectful relationships with children, families and colleagues.
* Respect and provide support and inclusion for all children, regardless of gender, cultural background, or socio-economic status.
* Work as a team, sharing responsibilities across rooms.
* Manage children's behaviour and guide children's social development.
* Provide care and supervision of the daily routine of children.
* Plan, implement, assess and review a high-quality and diverse educational program based on appropriate curriculum frameworks and with reference to the NQS & EYLF, considering the developmental needs, interests and abilities of all the children attending the service.
What you will need to succeed:
* Previous experience in the Early Childhood Sector is preferred (but is not essential)
* Excellent understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Framework
* Flexible hours e.g., able to work rotating shifts both opening to closing hours
* Excellent written and communication skills
As these roles are mandated by the Northern Territory regulatory requirements and ACECQA you will be required to have (or be in the process of attaining):
* Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care and be willing to study a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.
* Current Senior Early Childhood First Aid and CPR certificate
* National Police Clearance Certificate
* Current Working with Children's Card
Pay & Conditions:
* Hours of work: Full time employment 38 hours per week between 6:00 AM and 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday.
* Salary Based on the Children’s Services Award (MA000120) with potential for additional benefits, including above-award pay rates.
