Job DescriptionReach further with us!Join our Parent and Adolescent Counselling Service where you will provide a person-centred counselling service to young people and their families. You will explore new and more effective ways for family members to communicate and encourage both parents and young people to understand and consider their family members' needs.This is a part time (30 hours per week), permanent opportunity working across Rockingham and Kwinana. The successful candidates must be able to work one evening per week (to 6pm).Desired Skills and ExperienceWhat you will bring:To be successful in this role you will have:Tertiary degree (4 years) in Social Work, Psychology, Social Science, Counselling or other related disciplineCounselling experience with adolescent and family counsellingGreat interpersonal, rapport building and communication skillsPerson-centred, strength-based and trauma-informed approach to your practiceKnowledge of current theories, trends, practice and literature relating to adolescent and family counsellingThe successful candidate must possess a current National Police Clearance valid within one year, a WA Working with Children Check and a WA Drivers Licence.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvides counselling to adolescents and their families, with attention to, and inclusion of, wider contextual networks (peers, school personnel) as relevantMaintain professional notesAssist in the promotion and delivery of community training programs on adolescent/family relationships issuesEnsure that a culturally appropriate customer service perspective is reflected in all aspects of the serviceSharing your knowledge, skills and experience, you will make an impact on the lives of families and communities across the state.In return for your drive and commitment, we provide the support of an inclusive and welcoming community which places people at the heart of all the work we do and encourages broad thinking, curiosity, creativity and best practice.Also:A competitive salary from $96,088 per annum + 11.5% superannuationSalary packaging of up to $15,900 (which equates to circa $4K after tax) plus additional salary packaging of up to $2,650 for meal and entertainment expensesAdditional 3 days leave pro rata per year over the festive periodLife-balance friendly working conditionsAt Anglicare WA we are all about people, placing people at the heart of our work.
