Clinical Sales Specialist
Role Summary:
This role is responsible for promoting Fresenius Medical Care products and services through sales, training, and education of customers. The Clinical Sales Specialist will work closely with the National Sales Manager to develop and implement business plans within assigned territories.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Develop and implement sales and clinical training strategies to maintain existing business and develop new opportunities.
2. Work closely with National Sales Managers across the entire sales cycle to ensure customer outcomes are achieved.
3. Increase customer base and market presence through relationships with key opinion leaders, influencers, and decision makers.
4. Provide targeted counseling and account information to clinical and technical teams as required.
5. Track and report competitor activity within assigned accounts.
6. Maintain a high-profile presence in the marketplace through win-win solutions that turn sales relationships into long-term partnerships.
7. Manage post-purchase activities to ensure customer satisfaction.
8. Provide clinical support activities such as in-servicing, installations, training, and education as required.
9. Contribute to forecasting requirements and assist in preparing annual sales budgets for assigned territories.
10. Establish sales objectives by creating sales plans and quotas in support of national objectives.
11. Prepare and present customer offerings, quotes, tenders, and reorders.
12. Utilize CRM to track and capture business-related information for all customers and accounts.
13. Maintain administrative tasks, record keeping, and reporting in an effective and timely manner.
14. Provide feedback on incorrect invoices if required.
15. Update clinical knowledge through educational opportunities, professional publications, and maintaining professional networks.
16. Promote a team culture by assisting others during periods of high workloads or absence.
17. Support marketing programs as required.
18. Maintain team communication.
19. Become involved in company activities, including staff meetings, company events, and external meetings.
20. Contribute to Supply Chain for the 'Sales and Operations Planning process.
21. Demonstrate expertise in designated specialties, Fresenius Medical Care portfolio, dialysis therapy, intensive care, or renal nursing.
22. Deliver and evaluate approved education programs about FME products.
23. Provide educational resources as required.
24. Identify individual learning needs of clients to support individual learning plans.
25. Perform clinical competency assessments and provide certification where required.
26. Demonstrate acute/chronic renal knowledge and identify strategies for optimising patient care based on current research and trends.
27. Provide clinical support to new and existing customers and patients directly if required.
28. Maintain own clinical competence in line with FME Clinical Competencies.
29. Deliver and evaluate education programs relating to acute/chronic practices in complement with FME products.
30. Identify customer resource needs and provide appropriate support through liaison with technical, sales, and marketing teams.
31. Build and maintain positive working customer relationships.
32. Deliver presentations to doctors, nurses, and key opinion leaders in complement to FME products.
33. Organise events for customers and health groups in conjunction with respective sales managers and other departments.
34. Maintain and develop existing and new customers through planned individual account support.
35. Demonstrate commitment to professional development through membership of professional organisations/associations.
