HammondCare Woy Woy is currently looking for Casual Specialised Dementia Carers to join our team.
We are recruiting for 5 positions across evening and night shifts + 1 weekend per fortnight.
Our Cottage style homes provide low and high care for residents with Dementia. You will be running the cottage like a home, which will include:
* Personal care – showering, grooming, toileting, dressing
* Domestic assistance - cooking, cleaning and laundry
* Engaging with the residents, ensuring they are involved in the activities they WANT to do.
* Recognise, report and respond appropriately to changes in the conditions of residents within your skills and competencies.
You will be responsible for:
* Becoming the ‘expert’ on our Residents wellbeing
* Engaging with our residents at every turn because EVERY MOMENT MATTERS
* Fulfill each shift through HammondCare’s Mission in Action and Value
All new HammondCare staff will complete an onsite, paid orientation program with a Workplace Trainer, have buddy shifts, and be supported by experienced Registered Nurses, Clinical Care Managers, and a Residential Manager on site.
To be successful in this role, you will:
* Have a genuine passion for serving elderly people & enable them to live their best life.
* Flexibility to cover shifts as needed – Evening coverage highly sought.
* Value teamwork but also be able to work independently and show initiative.
* Have knowledge & experience of people living with Dementia & their needs.
* Cert III or Cert IV in Aged Care, or be willing to undertake a HammondCare recognised CERT III
