Position Summary :
Security Control and Response Officer is a senior security role that is responsible for monitoring, advising, and overseeing operational procedures.
The role is active for 7 days per week - Monday - Friday overnight and 24 hours over the weekend, with the expectation of working overnight shifts.
You must possess a strong knowledge of security operations and demonstrate effective leadership and problem-solving skills.
The Security Control and Response Officer role is both office-based and onsite and involves the following duties as part of the role:
* Effective communications skills and ability to provide clear and well-articulated directions and information to both employees and clients
* Liaise and build effective relationships with onsite clients
* Manage employee related matters, conflict, disciplinary issues
* Providing appropriate advice and guidance for all duties carried out by security staff
* Collecting and recording data from all operational aspects i.e. staff welfare check compliance, incident reports
* Ensuring all employees are arriving on time for sign, wearing correct PPE and are fit to perform the required duties.
* Monitoring the effectiveness of the required tasks and duties as instructed by SOS Management and addressing these concerns promptly.
* Monitoring clock in and off times and taking required action to replace or locate staff who are either unable to attend work or fail to arrive.
* Completing rostering duties and reporting any gaps or employee shortages to recruitment manager.
* Attending and participating in regular meetings required by SOS management i.e. individual supervision meetings, staff meetings, management meetings, performance appraisals and strategic planning meetings.

Job Responsibility :
* Implementing and identifying any operational requirements and changes, as requested by SOS management and/or client.
* Responding to any out of hours communication requirements
* Rostering/Staffing Duties
* Responding to and implementing appropriate disciplinary measures for any identified staff concerns
* Recruitment assistance
* Creating clear guidelines for all security personnel, regarding the communication and response processes, to ensure they are aware of the correct procedure and contact arrangement in the case of any staff concerns, incidents or emergency situations.
* Monitor and respond to any group messaging discussions
* Respond to any client’s communication requests, either via phone or onsite meeting need.
* Ensuring security officers are being supported and provided with relevant feedback and constructive criticisms to ensure they can continuously improve their skills and abilities.
* Monitor and assess the mental, emotional, and physical health of security officers to ensure they are fit and healthy to perform their duties and appropriately.
* Adhere to the SOS Security disciplinary guidelines to ensure any security officers who are not following the expectations, causing difficulties or failing to perform the required duties appropriately, are being identified and dealt with appropriately.
* Any written requests made from management and/or clients seeking any further information or data must be adhered to in a timely manner.
* Respond to all alarms, medical and fire emergencies, or other matters as they arise in accordance with the relevant procedures and policies.
* Co-ordinate emergency operations involving communication with security personnel onsite.
