Total Indicative Remuneration Package: $364,134 - $617,205 MDO2 (pro rata) | Part Time, Ongoing
Join our experienced and collaborative Team in the Allergy and Clinical Immunology Service at Flinders Medical Centre.
The Allergy and Clinical Immunology Service (ACI) provides a multi-disciplinary approach to patient care. Our allergy doctors, nurses, and dietitians help patients manage their allergic and immunological diseases and coordinate clinical care.
About the role:
Duties for the role will include:
Providing appropriate specialist level care to adults and adolescents, including outpatient clinics, medical day unit interventions, inpatient consultation, and after-hours on call.
Coordinating the follow-up care of patients and ensuring effective communication with other care providers to promote continuity of patient care.
Providing clinical supervision and direction to Trainee Medical Officers and Medical Students.
Overseeing the smooth functioning of the clinical area when on shift.
Ensuring the maintenance of comprehensive clinical records which document significant patient management decisions.
Participation in clinical audit and research as well as multi-disciplinary service planning and innovation.
About you:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
A Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent qualification.
An appropriate RACP Specialist Qualifications eligible for Fellowship.
Be registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration; or another qualification as defined in the SA Medical Officers Award.
Experience with the supervision and teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate medical staff.
Advanced training in Adult Clinical Immunology and Allergy completed and Fellowship granted/imminent.
Hours per week can be discussed at interview.
