The Role This role leads a professional team of highly skilled engineers to capture, analyse and report the performance, condition and risks of our critical sewer and water assets.
From that make prudent asset maintenance and renewals investment decisions, to ensure the optimum asset lifecycle of these assets in maintained.
Key responsibilities include: Provide clear direction to team members, enabling them to effectively deliver their key outcomes and objectives.
Participate in the development and continuous improvement of various TasWater policies, procedures and processes.
Promote safety and compliance, ensuring alignment with TasWater's environmental and safety standards.
Champion cross business engagement and working to ensure business outcomes and asset performance expectations are achieved.

What we're looking for We're looking for someone with experience in leading people and in asset management/engineering principles to optimise the performance, risk, reliability and lifespan of infrastructure assets.
Our ideal background: Very strong leadership with significant and demonstrated experience in multi-disciplinary, multi-partner environments and cross business engagements.
Significant experience in process management, and performance and risk reporting Significant experience in Engineering and/or Asset Management with demonstrated experience in all aspects of managing asset performance, risk and life-cycle; including prudent asset investment decision-making in maintenance, repairs and renewals.
Experience in developing asset management plans and asset strategies, preferably in a similar industry.
High-level change management and continuous improvement skills and demonstrated experience in safety, culture and compliance management improvements.
High-level communication skills and demonstrated experience in engaging and negotiating with industry stakeholders and contract partners.
Experience in water utility sector or similar would be highly desirable.
