Working within each area will see you join a team of professional and experienced officers who have a passion for working within the justice field and who will provide ongoing support and training. Each location has specific projects in garden maintenance and other specialised projects in different areas; work teams range from small numbers up to 10 workers for the Field Officer to supervise and provide a mentoring role. Field Officers may be working in town or remote locations making the job different and interesting each day.Your Role :As a casual Community Service Field Officer, you will play a key role in supervising and managing offenders serving community service orders while coordinating the logistics and operations of community service worksites to ensure safety, compliance, and accountability. If you enjoy a community-based role, have strong communication skills and display resilience and courage, we encourage you to apply and make a difference in your community by helping offenders reintegrate and contribute positively.What You’ll Do :Supervise offenders during community service, ensuring their safety and adherence to safety protocols.Direct tasks, monitor behaviour, and ensure compliance with Work Health and Safety standards.Collaborate with community agencies and provide transportation for offenders to and from worksites.What We’re Looking For :Strong ability to supervise and manage offenders, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and conduct policies.Solid understanding of Work Health and Safety principles and practices.Exceptional communication skills for effectively liaising with community agencies and stakeholders.Proficient in transporting offenders and coordinating logistics for community service worksites.This is casual employment under Section 43 of the Government Sector Employment Act 2013. Ability to work up to 38 hours per week as required, during the week and weekends. Successful applicants for these positions will be required to drive a group of offenders to and from designated worksites and supervise work.
