The successful applicant will form part of a dedicated English team that plans, develops, delivers, and reviews a comprehensive curriculum from years 7 to 12. Strong classroom management skills will be essential, along with a commitment to achieve the best educational outcomes for all students.The successful applicant will ideally possess best practice in inclusive education, cultural responsiveness, ICT in the classroom, use of Classroom Management Strategies (CMS), and trauma-informed practice. They will build engagement in the classroom using Geraldton Senior High School’s SEEK model of lesson structure and explicit instruction, which specifically supports the DoE Quality Teaching Strategy and Teaching for Impact document.There is an expectation that the successful applicant will engage in reflective practice that is informed by classroom observation, student feedback, and analysis of student achievement data.
