We are seeking an Operations Coordinator with a passion for logistics and team leadership.Join our dynamic Kalgoorlie team and play a key role in coordinating train crew and yard operations, ensuring efficient and cost-effective deployment of resources while delivering exceptional customer service.About the Role: As Operations Coordinator, you will be an integral part of the Kalgoorlie Leadership Team, responsible for overseeing the daily movements of rolling stock and ensuring timely, scheduled yard operations.Your primary duties will include:Directing and managing the allocation, utilisation, and deployment of production resources to ensure efficient execution of the yard plan.Developing, implementing, and managing processes, systems, and procedures to eliminate above-rail factors impacting supply chain performance.Ensuring the team has clear, measurable goals aligned with business targets and supporting their professional development.Providing advice, coaching, and operational support to the team, driving high-performance and continuous improvement.Ensuring compliance with relevant legislative, statutory, and company policies and procedures.About You: To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate:Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Qualifications in Train Driving and/or Shunting (preferred, but training can be provided).Certificate IV/Diploma in Frontline Management or equivalent (preferred).Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and a solid understanding of computer-based systems.Previous experience in yard operations and frontline leadership within large-scale logistics or heavy industry.This position will require you to undergo psychometric testing and a Category 1 Rail Medical.
