What's the role?NewsCorp is evolving as a publisher, adding video and audio content to our strong print and digital publishing channels. To support our rapid growth in video publishing, we are implementing a suite of video production platforms including Media Asset Management. Reporting to the Platform Manager - Digital Asset Management, the Platform Engineer is responsible for the operation and maintenance of Asset Management platforms, working as part of a team across several adjacent platforms.You will initially be working on a project involving:Deployment and configuration of the Mimir media asset management platform;Creating video and audio workflows;Developing operations procedures and related documentation.Longer term the role will evolve with the organisation's growing needs as they relate to digital asset production and management. As the Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for maintenance of existing configurations and the creation of new customer solutions from inception to delivery. You will initially be working in AWS. Other technologies like machine learning may be added on a project by project basis.We will give you the resources and autonomy you need to get the job done.Who are you?To be successful, you must thrive in an energetic, fast-paced environment, and be as comfortable talking to engineers and technical staff as you are with project managers and business SMEs.
