Who are we looking for?
The GHD Northern Australia, Transport Group is continuing to grow, and we currently have a position available for a Civil Designer to join the team and provide leadership, guidance and assistance in the delivery of projects from concept stage through to construction.

As a Civil Designer within the Transport group, it is expected that you will undertake project work, including preparation of documentation for proposals, reports and business documentation as well as provide technical review, input and support for proposal and project delivery.

The role will be an additional resource in an existing and very experienced civil design team and will predominantly be involved in:
Providing up front documentation strategies and frameworks to improve the efficiency of design and documentation for major transport infrastructure projects.
Overseeing and facilitating knowledge sharing including mentoring junior team members.
Ensuring project design and documentation complies with client design and drafting standards.
What You Will Bring To The Team
Qualifications in civil design, with 5-7 years’ relevant experience
Direct knowledge and design experience of the components of general road and highways civil infrastructure;
Experience in managing the design and documentation of urban development, road and general civil infrastructure projects;
Ability to coordinate and plan the work of design and documentation resources;
Extensive knowledge and experience using 12D to successfully deliver projects that meet client specifications;
Demonstrated AutoCAD capability in drafting and detailing civil projects;
Ability to coordinate and plan the work of design and documentation resources; and
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an eye for detail and a strong focus on the production of quality outputs.
Ideally the successful candidate shall have more than 7 years’ experience in a design role within an engineering consultancy where you have successfully delivered roads & highways designs within the Transport Infrastructure sectors.Important Notice: Office Shutdown Period
