Your Mission
We are seeking a skilled professional to assist in the development and validation of an infrared-based detection tool. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Generating synthetic images and designing experiments to test their effectiveness.
* Developing the tool to account for the effects of wakes on detection.
* Investigating the impact of motion on detection range.
* Documented all experiments, analysis, and results.
Objectives
The primary goal of this contract is to continuously develop, optimise, and validate tools that accurately predict the detection range of periscope masts. Successful candidates will have expertise in electrical science, chemistry, engineering, computing, data analysis, or related fields.
* Mandatory skills include experience with MATLAB, computer modelling, Linux/Unix operating systems, image analysis, and human observer experiments.
* Australian citizenship is essential for security clearance purposes.
