OverviewRapiscan Systems designs, manufactures, and markets security and inspection systems worldwide. Our products are used to inspect baggage, cargo, people, vehicles, and other objects for weapons, explosives, drugs, and other contraband. Rapiscan Systems security and inspection devices can be found in a wide range of locations such as airports, border crossings, railway stations, sea ports and terminals, government and military installations, and nuclear facilities.ResponsibilitiesPerform all aspects of the Traproom area including some sales orders and Kits for assembly area and transact parts to stock as required.Assist in maintaining tools and equipment in the work cell.Support the traproom lead when they are out. Schedule work and material to meet customer requirements and overall production schedule as needed.Perform general assembly on subassemblies utilizing appropriate assembly procedures.Hand crimping wire connectors.Soldering wires, PCBs, and subassemblies.Apply a variety of substances to test samples using a calibrated pipette.Learn and perform basic troubleshooting protocols and rework for non-conforming units.Ability to be flexible and handle priority changes as they occur.Meet expected daily product requirements.Uphold the company’s core values of Integrity, Innovation, Accountability, and Teamwork.Demonstrate behavior consistent with the company’s Code of Ethics and Conduct.It is the responsibility of every employee to report to their manager or a member of senior management any quality problems or defects in order for corrective action to be implemented and to avoid recurrence of the problem.Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business.QualificationsHigh School or equivalent Trade School education.4 years experience assembling electromechanical devices and subassemblies.Knowledge of and demonstrated ability in the use of hand tools including soldering equipment, screwdrivers, wrenches, pipettes, and heat guns.Thorough understanding of workmanship standards and quality control procedures including ESD compliance.Must be results-oriented and self-motivated.
