ABOUT THE ROLE
This role is a Permanent position on a 9-day fortnight roster, DIDO to our Worsley Alumina Refinery, which is a short drive from Collie (15 minutes), Bunbury 35 minutes –and other nearby scenic communities.
As the Specialist Maintenance, you will provide support to the frontline maintenance teams and reliability team. You will be responsible for ensuring the effectiveness of work strategies and ensuring suitable equipment sparing is available for planned and unplanned maintenance. You will also be responsible for updating Safe Work Instructions and other maintenance documentation.
Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:
5. In conjunction with maintenance execution and production teams, maintain a detailed understanding of critical equipment shortfalls and work to develop optimised solutions to eliminate root causes.
6. Provide input into the development of the maintenance budget based on the preventative and corrective maintenance work strategies.
7. Provide expertise to review, or support, maintainability and reliability specifications, as well as taking part in the handover activities of new systems commissioned by the Capital Projects team.
8. Understanding of Work Management Cycle and Defect Elimination process.
9. Detailed knowledge of procedures and concepts in maintenance and associated strategy.
ABOUT YOU
You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
10. Mechanical or Electrical trade certificate
11. A minimum experience of 5 years in heavy industry.
12. A wealth of working experience in maintenance work activities.
13. Proficiency in software such as SAP and Microsoft Office will be highly regarded
14. Experience in root cause analysis and continuous improvement techniques
15. Ability to provide diversity of thought within the existing team stakeholder Engagement:
16. Collaborate with groups of internal stakeholders including engineering and production teams.
