Boeing Defence Australia is shaping the future of multiple air, land and sea platforms which is delivering critical capability for the Australian Defence Force. Boeing Defence Australia is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to support the delivery of the Wakulda Program.
As a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer you will apply your extensive Systems Engineering knowledge and leadership ability to support a multidisciplinary engineering team through the full lifecycle of an engineering change from initial proposal development and design conception through to incorporation of the change onto the platform.
Key responsibilities include: Requirements Management including development and maintenance of Wakulda System Specification.Development and maintenance of Wakulda Verification and Validation Plan.Works with the Engineering Team Manager to ensure the engineering scope is delivered within the quality, schedule and budgetary constraints of the project.Develop and review design specifications, design notes, Integration / Test Plans, Test Procedures, Test Reports and other design artefacts.Support facilitation and administration of key technical forums including Site Technical Committee.Test directing and test execution of test procedures, analysing requirements compliance and identification/resolution of bugs/defects.Mentoring of less experienced engineers including teaching, guiding and coaching.To be successful you will be able to demonstrate: Minimum of 5 years' experience in complex technical development and integration projects.Strong understanding of Systems Engineering principles and lifecycle management, including Mandated System Reviews.Experience developing and executing against Systems Engineering artefacts including Systems Engineering Management Plan and Verification and Validation Plans.Demonstrated technical leadership and coordination qualities, working on behalf of the Engineering Team Manager, to deliver technical solutions.Experience with Change Management processes and progressing change management artefacts.Strong communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to engage, influence and negotiate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and customers.Experience in Requirements Management Tools (eg DOORs, CAMEO).Experience with aerospace and / or defence projects highly regarded.Experience in supporting projects in an ASDEFCON contract environment highly regarded.This position is based in Brisbane or Williamtown.
