For children. For families. For the Community.
TSH is a Western Australian not-for-profit organisation, registered charity, independent school and NDIS provider that has helped children with speech, language and hearing difficulties lead fulfilling lives since 1966.
We are a proud Western Australian success story and a family centred practice. TSH (formerly Telethon Speech & Hearing) provides integrated services for children with hearing loss and/or speech and language difficulties from newborns to 18-year-olds. A team of education professionals work collaboratively alongside allied health professionals to empower children to hear, communicate, connect and learn.
We are currently seeking an experienced and nurturing Education Assistant to join our highly regarded Outpost Program - a program which provides comprehensive in-school support for students with hearing loss who use oral communication from K-12 at our partner primary and secondary schools around the Perth Metropolitan area.
We currently have an opportunity for an education assistant to join us in a Part time (0.6 FTE) role working Monday, Tuesday, and Friday at Newman College supporting primary school aged students.
This is a wonderful opportunity to work in our unique environment that focuses on building respectful and trusting relationships within our community of schools and families.
To be successful, you will hold a Certificate III and/or Certificate IV in Education Support or Allied Health Assistance with experience in a similar role providing support to children with complex needs. You will also have the ability to create an inclusive and caring classroom environment that recognises every person’s unique talents.
TSH is committed to providing a child safe environment and promoting practices which provide for the safety, wellbeing and welfare of our children, clients and families. Therefore, shortlisted applicants will be assessed against their ability to support and maintain a child safe environment.
For a confidential discussion regarding these opportunities, please contact Richard Wright, Deputy Principal, on 9387-9888.
To apply, please submit your application via SEEK by 9am, Wednesday, 11 March 2025.
