As Program Manager for our Retail Transformation initiative, you'll be instrumental in modernising and transforming ING's product business to drive our business growth aspirations. This vital role places you at the heart of our strategic mission across mortgages/daily banking products, technology and service offering.
The Transformation program consists of several dynamic streams across Mortgages/Daily Banking, including Originations, In Life and Collections. Reporting hierarchically to the Head of Retail and functionally to the Strategic Delivery Director you will lead multiple program delivery streams, including Business Design, Technology Delivery, Change, PMO and Risk. Your leadership and experience will be crucial to navigate the complexities of a program of this magnitude and strategic importance.
As the Program Manager, you will be the linchpin that binds both business and technology, forging robust partnerships across the board. Your role will be pivotal in driving transformational outcomes, ensuring they are delivered within the allocated time, value and budget. You will also periodically provide updates on the progress of the transformation to the Executive Committee, Sponsor Board and Delivery Board, including both local and global stakeholders.
What you’ll do
1. Lead the execution of the Retail Transformation, ensuring alignment with the bank's strategic objectives (scope will include Daily Banking from a Program establishment perspective, focus long term will be on the Mortgages scope)
2. Be accountable for the overall transformation programs’ establishment, including strategic blueprint, scope and alignment with other major ING programs of work, including endorsement from key stakeholders/sponsors
3. Define program milestones and scope including schedule, budget, deliverable quality, workforce planning, procurement, stakeholders, integration and risks/issues;
4. Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement and innovation that values learning and a commitment to quality;
5. Provide oversight and leadership over transformation work streams ensuring alignment to the goals of the program, stakeholder acceptance, embedding a culture of customer centricity and supporting a strong risk culture and program diligence;
6. Foster effective collaboration between internal teams, external vendors, and stakeholders;
7. Ensure the Mortgages/Daily Banking future state meets regulatory, security, and compliance requirements;
8. Work closely with the ING Global technology team to ensure that system design and implementation aligns and leverages global capabilities where applicable.
What we’re looking for
9. Minimum of 10 years of experience in program management, preferably within financial services or technology sectors
10. Experience with large scale business and technology transformations with multiple stakeholders and vendors
11. Proven experience in transformation program with a focus on mortgages
12. Strong knowledge of mortgage products, banking operations, processes, and regulatory requirements
13. Demonstrated experience utilising both agile and waterfall methodologies to successfully deliver projects
14. Proven experience in working with partner resources and stakeholders across different time zones
15. Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills
