Join us.Job DescriptionWe have a unique opportunity for an Environmental Scientist or Environmental Engineer to join our 'Geoscience + Remediation Services' Team based in Canberra and to take the next step in their career.This position will provide experience and a greater level of responsibility working on a diverse array of high profile, major infrastructure assessment projects across a range of sectors, including Department of Defence, mining, transport (road/rail/ports/air), water utilities, energy, oil and gas, and urban renewal property sectors.Working amongst a team of peers and alongside our clients, while learning first-hand from our in-house national and international senior advisors and technical leaders. You will primarily assist with fieldwork and reporting aspects of multiple concurrent contamination investigations and remediation projects of varying size and complexity.You could be working on:Preliminary and Detailed Site InvestigationsDue Diligence AssessmentsData Management and Digital ReportingRemedial Action PlansSite Validation ReportsWaste ClassificationsSite supervision and contractor managementProject management / contract administrationQualificationsFlexibility and a pro-active attitude will be key to your success in supporting the Canberra office and the wider AECOM business. You will have demonstrable qualifications and experience, including some or all of the following:Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline such as environmental science, engineering, geology, or earth scienceExperience in preliminary and detailed site investigations for soil, vapour, and groundwaterExperience in data management software (ESDAT / Equis) and preparation of environmental reportsDemonstrated verbal and written communication skillsProject management experience preferredAdditional InformationAECOM acknowledges the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the lands on which we, our clients and our communities live and work around Australia.
