$77,223.52 - $82,594.58 gross per annum, plus 17.5% annual leave loading and up to 12.65% superannuation.

About Parks & Recreation
The Parks & Recreation Team are the secret behind the Toowoomba Region’s beautiful parks and gardens. With over 7000 hectares of public gardens, bushland park, sports and recreation facilities and other open space and an extensive urban forest, the Toowoomba region is well known for its liveability and green infrastructure. The Parks and Recreation Services Branch is responsible for planning, developing and maintaining our beautiful green infrastructure, some of which is heritage listed, and keeping up with the strong growth across the region. The team is a diverse mix of approximately 200 people working as labourers, gardeners, arborists, horticulturalists, plant operators, rangers, cleaners, project managers, landscape architects, administrators, regulators and their managers and leaders.
About the position
The Urban Forest Project Officer position will assist with the planning, development and support of the Council’s urban forest and park policy activities across the region. This will involve providing support and advice to the Urban Forest Policy Officer and Park Strategy team on a range of matters, including tree removals, assessing tree performance, capture of urban forest data, mid-term inspections of developer contributions to the urban forest and assisting with data collection and information review to develop urban forest management plans, veteran tree management plans and street tree masterplans.
This position will work under general direction.
