Rex is Australia’s largest independent regional and domestic airline operating a fleet of 61 Saab and 7 Boeing -NG aircraft to 58 destinations throughout all states in Australia. An excellent opportunity exists for a suitably qualified and highly motivated individual to join the Rex Sydney Airport Team in the role of a Part-Time Customer Service Officer.
Reporting:
This position reports to the Sydney Airport Manager.
Position responsibilities:
1. Provide domestic and regional check-in services for Rex at Sydney Airport.
2. Reservation and ticket sales including collection of monies.
3. Pre and post flight duties.
4. Editing of flights.
5. Sales reporting and recording functions as appropriate.
6. Assisting with the receipt and dispatch of aircraft including operation of aerobridge if required.
7. Computer system operations (SABRE).
8. Departure Control System (DCS) knowledge.
9. Rex Lounge duties, including processing of guests, restocking and cleaning
10. Assisting special needs customers.
11. Passenger marshalling
12. Assist customers with damaged and lost baggage enquiries
13. Comply with requirements set out in the company’s safety policy and standard operating procedures.
14. Other duties as requested by the Airport Manager
Selection Criteria:
15. Previous airline customer service experience essential
16. GDS experience essential
17. Able to obtain an ASIC (Aviation Security Identification Card).
18. Able to work shift work that includes early starts, evenings and weekend work.
19. Ability to work in a team environment and a commitment to on time performance.
20. Previous customer service experience mandatory.
21. Well developed written and oral communication skills.
22. Outstanding image and presentation
23. Computer literacy of a high degree.
24. Ability to work unsupervised.
