PRIMARY DETAIL • Salary Package: HEW 4 plus superannuation • Appointment Type: Casual • Location: Macquarie University (Wallumattagal Campus, North Ryde) About the Role As a FMHHS Education Services Assistant you will provide support and assistance across a range of Faculty events, outreach initiatives and administrative functions. The work you undertake across the year will be highly varied and may see you involved in a range of different workshops, seminars, events and outreach activities. To support this work your tasks may range from administrative assistance, speaking and presenting to students, logistical support and the set-up and pack-up of workshops and seminar style events. After hours and weekend work, both on and off campus may be required to support particular events and initiatives. You will be able to demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills combined with excellent organisation and time management. The ability to work as part of a team or independently, including the ability to be flexible in assuming a variety of roles. Awareness of University structures including: academic, extra-curricular activities and student opportunities. Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and deliver tasks. Integrity and dedication to high standards of personal conduct especially when representing Macquarie University. Available to undertake light to moderate physical tasks including handling boxes of approximately 10 kg weight on a regular basis. Must hold, or can obtain, a Paid Employee Working with Children Check, should an offer of employment be made. Comply with relevant EEO and WHS regulations. Perform any other duties as required and appropriate for this classification. Desirable Requirements Knowledge of tertiary Public Speaking or presenting experience. Strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. A valid NSW driver’s licence.
