We keep communities connected. We have an opportunity for a Road Maintenance Supervisor to join our VRMC (Victorian Road Maintenance Contract) Team. We are now delivering routine maintenance and defect rectification works, as well as refurbishment and upgrade projects, under a major long-term contract with the Victorian Government. About The Role You will be joining a hands-on Road Maintenance team, supervising the day-to-day onsite work of operations workers and sub-contractors to ensure work is delivered. Key responsibilities will include: Leading daily pre-start, supervising the daily on-site work of operations and/or maintenance workers, afterhours emergency response, sub-contractors and apprentices. Inspecting the daily work to ensure works are undertaken to documented procedures and in accordance with quality standards. Supplying relevant quality assurance and operations documentation for management to support informed decision making. Monitoring and controlling the use of materials and equipment to minimise unnecessary waste and authorise the procurement of supplies. Carrying out regular site inspections to ensure all areas comply with relevant health and safety standards, taking immediate action as required to mitigate potential risks to staff. Supporting team members through training and feedback, to encourage and develop internal capabilities. Managing the afterhours call out roster to ensure the network as 24/7 coverage. About You This opportunity will suit a highly motivated and outcome driven individual who has a passion for delivering positive business outcomes. You will also hold the following tickets/skills: 5 Experience in a field supervisory or site operations role. Prior experience in managing field crews is essential. Freeway and Road Network maintenance preferred. Traffic Management experience and relevant tickets are advantageous. Well-developed communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels. OH&S and Safety certifications are highly regarded.
