Health, Safety & Environment (Construction) Full timeSalary: $105,000 – $120,000 + Super + Vehicle, Fuel, EtagLong term security with a 2-year pipeline already securedDiversity in projects from townhouse and retirement development to H&L to KDRCompany Vehicle + Phone + LaptopOverview of the Role Head office Baulkham HillsResidential Builder Developer – highly successfulEstablished since 2014, approx.65 staff across NSW but also work across multiple states including Victoria and QLDDiverse portfolio of work delivering townhouse and retirement living developments for many developers such as Stockland, Lendlease and Crown GroupSolid pipeline of work; will close out on 340 homes for FY23-24, with 370 already secured for FY24-25They are looking to appoint a new WHS OfficerThe role will report into the State Safety ManagerA typical week will be 80% on site, 20% in the office – travelling is essential to cover their current sites which are mainly North West Sydney with some in the South West of SydneyA core part of the role is visiting live construction sites ensuring all WHS requirements are being adhered toAll reporting is tracked on Quinn Code Safe; relevant training will be givenThe ideal candidate will have:A minimum of 2 years' experience in a Safety or Construction Supervisor role working on class 1 projects; single / double storey homes or granny flatsCert 4 in WHS and First AidGood level of computer literacy and a sound understanding of current WHS policies and proceduresRole and Responsibilities Coordinate Work Health, Safety and Environment Management Systems (WHSMS), Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and assist with compliance to State Legislation of Safety using our infield App and industry leading software applications.Work with the NSW Safety Manager to complete reporting on WHS performance and provide WHS advice to trades, Building Supervisors, Area Building Managers.Identify WHS training requirements for staff and subcontractors.Assist with assessment of subcontractor onboarding documentation and safety inductions.Complete incident reporting and investigations as necessary.Continually improve the efficiency and effectiveness of safety across all aspects of the business.Conduct Safety Inductions with staff and subcontractors.Conduct and audit Toolbox Talks.Complete and audit onsite risk assessment and hazard identification.Assist in risk mitigation strategies and monitoring procedures.Requirements To Apply Certificate IV or higher in WHS.Current First Aid certification.Residential Class 1 experience essential (single/double storey homes or granny flats).2+ years experience in a Safety or Construction Supervisor role.Must be prepared to travel where and as necessary.Excellent communication and people skills.High-level computer skills across mobile devices (laptop & phone) and of Microsoft Office suite of programs.Excellent organisation and time management skills.Experience and competencies in hazard identification, and risk management.Experienced in the running of high-level OH&S Management systems.Completed and hold a Construction General Induction Card/White Card.Currently hold a valid driver's licence.A strong understanding of Workplace Health & Safety Management Systems within the Construction Industry.A broad knowledge and understanding of the relevant WHS Acts and Regulations, Compliance Codes and Codes of Practices, Australian Standards and Guidance Materials.The ability to produce quality written reports.A 'can do' energetic attitude and action-oriented approach.How to Apply To send in an application, please hit 'Quick Apply' and attach your resume or alternatively, if you have any questions about the role or company please call Corrina Mckinnel on 0410 859186.About the RecruiterYour application will include the following questions:How many years' experience do you have as a Work Health and Safety Officer?Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?Have you completed a qualification in Work Health & Safety? #J-18808-Ljbffr
