About the Role
In this role, you will be contributing to building DMIRS into a high-performance innovative organisation by maximising resilience against threats to cyber security and inappropriate data release whilst actively supporting the Department’s strategic business functions and needs.
Working with the IT Operations branch management team under the Director Business Innovation, you will be overseeing the development and sustainable implementation of cyber capability-expansion projects and your extensive practical and collaborative experience in cyber-security will help ensure projects’ acceptance and success.
The position has responsibilities over cyber-security standards, guidelines, supporting frameworks and measurement of both efficacy and compliance of cyber-security controls.
A strong focus of the role is explanation of cyber-security and data protection topics to executive staff, inter-agency committees, auditors and general staff so your strong communications and presentation skills will be highly beneficial.
You will be supporting cyber-security compliance audits, cyber-resilience testing and have skills and experience to assist with Risk Management assessment and risk mitigation in practice in a complex enterprise.
