We are looking for a part-time Trainer & Assessor to deliver the Certificate I in Construction. ABOUT THE ORGANISATION Wongutha CAPS is a Christian boarding school for Year 11 and 12 Aboriginal students who predominantly come from remote towns and communities throughout Western Australia. The school is committed to supporting the health and wellbeing needs of students to enable them to effectively engage in the education and training opportunities available at the school. ABOUT THE POSITION: In this role, you will deliver practical and theory-based training to students in essential construction skills, safety practices, and industry knowledge. You will provide a hands-on learning environment that encourages student participation and success. Key Responsibilities: Plan, deliver, and assess Certificate I in Construction units in line with training package requirements. Develop training resources, lesson plans, and assessment materials. Provide students with practical, hands-on experience in mechanics. Ensure compliance with RTO standards, including record keeping and reporting. Support students in developing employability skills related to the construction industry. Maintain a safe and effective learning environment in the workshop. Qualifications and Experience: Relevant industry qualifications, or at least Certificate I in Construction. Current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or equivalent (preferred). Demonstrated experience working in the construction industry. Experience in delivering vocational education and training is highly desirable. Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with students of various backgrounds. A commitment to student-centred learning and continuous improvement.
