Melbourne, Sydney Investment Banking Contract or Temporary Our client is a large, diverse financial services firm seeking a Project Manager to join their Melbourne office, working on a high-profile risk & regulatory compliance project- 12 month initial duration. Candidates can be based in Sydney or Melbourne. Scope of Work: Reporting into the Program Director you will join our client’s Regulatory Compliance Project Management team to support the delivery of risk and regulatory compliance program – ie CPS230 or FAR. You will closely work with a team of experienced risk and compliance project professionals. Your main stakeholders will sit across the first and second line both in Australia and offshore to support the delivery of the remediation risk programs/activities. Responsible managing medium- to large-scale client implementations with multiple workstreams and internal and external stakeholders, including building client relationships, managing client requirements and expectations, reporting, and deliverables throughout the project lifecycle Uses specific knowledge of a discipline to achieve goals through their own work. Has specific knowledge or expertise typically gained through formal education or equivalent experience. Uses expertise to provide guidance to others as a project manager or consultant Key Responsibilities: Ensure alignment of resources and the client for the lifecycle of the project Set up of overall project governance Set up of PPM codes for use by CDS and technology teams for the lifecycle of the project Populate Actions, Risk and Gap registers with any items that are raised as part of the Joint or Executive Steer meetings Review and follow up on any At Risk and Overdue items in the Registers or Detailed Project Plan Collate and distribute of Weekly Governance Pack that is provided to the client (Project Scorecard, All registers and Detailed Project Plan – and any other documentation that has been agreed as part of the governance structure) Act as an escalation point for Workstream Leads, Project Managers and Client where appropriate Actively participate in new client Sales process, including but not limited to RFI, RFP, indicative implementation budget creation and Sales presentations. Act as an escalation point for the medium to large complexity projects Assists in alignment of resources (as required) Ensure all project governance activities are completed in a timely and accurate manner Collate and distribute any program level status updates (as required) Provide updates to the CDS global trackers (as required) Coordinate and run the joint executive steer and GO/No Go decision meetings Actively participate in new client Sales process, including but not limited to RFI, RFP, indicative implementation budget creation and Sales presentations Uses analytical thought to exercise judgement and identify innovative solutions Required Experience: Proven project expereicen covering Regulartory compliance projects ie CPS200, CPS220, CPS230, FAR, Critical thinking and problem-solving skills Program/Project/Change Management Skills Proven relevant experience with regulatory change, managing projects or leading large initiatives within a large, global organisation, preferably Financial Services Demonstrated leadership in regulatory evaluation, execution and compliance at a global asset management firm Experience in working in the banking sector (and ideally risk or compliance) highly desirable This position will pay a great hourly rate [variable based on prior Project Manager experience], and you will be employed as an on-site contractor via Anton Murray Consulting on-site with our client.
