About the company A local government authority based in the eastern suburbs is looking for a Human Resources Business Partner to join their people and culture team. You will be joining a collaborative and supportive team. The main goal of this role is to partner with allocated business areas to support them to manage their people throughout the employee life cycle. This is a full-time role, working Monday – Friday. The organization offers flexible hybrid working and will generally work 2/3 days in the office. Your key responsibilities include: Be a true business partner, partnering with allocated business areas to support them to manage their people throughout the employee life cycle. Build relationships with your stakeholders and portfolio to be a proactive HR support. Contribute as the business partner to line managers to coach and support people initiatives. Provide business areas with information, advice, and support in line with our people priorities, policies, and practices. Assist business areas with workforce planning, in line with our agreed frameworks and processes. Case manage, investigate, and advise on employee issues and industrial relations matters in accordance with the Enterprise Agreement, Fair Work Agreement, industrial instruments, and policies. You will not be needed to manage recruitment but on occasion will provide line managers with advice and guidance. Assist with projects in the people and culture team, support change management in the organisation. You will have the following: Tertiary qualified in Human Resources or related discipline. A significantly experienced HR business partner with a customer-focused approach to developing and delivering practical outcomes. Experience working under and ability to interpret EA’s and awards. Excellent communicator both verbal and written who can influence and build relationships. An ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-moving environment.
