About the Role
As we continue to build upon our success, an exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and experienced French Teacher to join our school community.
This is a part-time (FTE 0.80) to full-time, ongoing role and reports into the Head of Languages and the Head of Junior School.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering an engaging and innovative French curriculum across the ELC (4 year old kindergarten) and Junior School.
To be successful in this opportunity you will require:
Current VIT Registration.Previous experience teaching French across primary school (essential).Expert knowledge of content area and a demonstrated willingness to continue to develop knowledge and skills.A current knowledge of Australian Curriculum imperatives as they impact on LOTE.Capability to impart to students a love of learning of the French language, literature, and culture.Ability to use a variety of teaching strategies that address different aspects of the learning area and the range of learning styles of students in the classroom.Excellent appreciation of, and the ability to use, a range of assessment strategies.Well-developed classroom management strategies that can be applied to the St Catherine's culture.Excellent ICT skills with the ability to use ICT to support teaching and learning programs, as well as administration practices.Ability to work and contribute productively to a team situation.Excellent interpersonal skills.Personal resilience with an ability to be proactive and take initiative.Highly developed organisational skills.Willingness to uphold the ethos and values of the School at all times.Why work for us?
