The team also provides vital customer service and administrative support that underpins the client, volunteer and member experience at Red Cross.The opportunityFor this role, you will need strong communication skills to engage with a diverse cross-section of the community, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and individuals from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. You should also have proven time management and organisational abilities to coordinate administrative tasks, along with proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Excel, or similar software. Your ability to use initiative as well as work as part of a team, and flexible to work on a range of tasks will also be an asset.Key responsibilities include providing reception support by handling face-to-face enquiries, managing incoming calls, and directing messages. The role involves performing various administrative tasks such as data entry, managing mail, and maintaining accurate records.Red Cross will ensure you have training, ongoing support and access to other opportunities within the world's largest humanitarian network.The impactAs a volunteer, you will assist staff members in the Community Mobilisation and Business Operations Team with daily reception and administrative requirement to ensure clients, volunteers and members have a positive and rewarding experience.Application requirementsFor this role you will be required to undertake a National Police Check, which will be organised through Red Cross.The role will also require you to hold or apply for a Working With Children Check (Blue Card).
