The Role
This role is a great entry-level opportunity for a friendly, diligent and detail-oriented Enterprise Researcher to work in our Melbourne office. You will be part of a team that ensures high research standards across IBISWorld’s Company database and publications. As an Enterprise Researcher, you will contribute to our company’s mission of helping clients make better business decisions by maintaining accurate and timely financial data and other information on Australia’s largest public and private companies.
You will be provided with on-the-job training when you first join IBISWorld, and will receive ongoing support from your colleagues as you learn about our product and your role.
Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for:
5. Reviewing annual company results to extract specific data pertaining to financial results, shareholders, subsidiaries, contact details and company structure
6. Using online sources to supplement your research
7. Telephoning individual companies to confirm specific information
8. Updating IBISWorld’s Enterprise database with researched information
9. Participating in annual list projects and product releases
As a successful candidate, you will have:
10. An undergraduate degree in a business-related discipline (related experience and degrees considered)
11. High attention to detail
12. Familiarity with financial statements
13. Confident telephone and communication skills
14. Knowledge of accounting standards and the ASX
15. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work independently to meet deadlines
16. Demonstrated self-motivation, autonomy and initiative
17. An interest in economic news and current events
