About the role: WA Limestone is currently seeking a full-time Heavy-Duty Diesel Mechanics to join our Maintenance team in Bunbury. The position requires working 10 hours a day, Monday – Friday, with the possibility of Saturday works to fulfill operational requirements. This is a contract-based position which will expire at the end of the project in late 2025. Bunbury residents are highly encouraged to apply. In this role, you will be based at our Bunbury work site and will be responsible for the following, but not limited to:
Daily fuelling, greasing & prestart equipment checks.preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs. servicing and fuelling on a wide range of mobile equipment, some of which may include: Komatsu Excavators: PC600/PC850 & PC1250-8Hitachi: ZX690, ZX890CAT Loaders: 980/ 988CAT Excavators: 320/ 349CAT Trucks: D400/ 740Install and operate specialised fault-finding and diagnostic equipment.Work closely with the Perth maintenance team to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues, ensuring efficient repairs and optimal performance of machinery.Liaise with Perth maintenance team to pre-order all parts and materials required to perform assigned repairs.Maintain a clean and safe work area.Ensure all service and maintenance records kept are legible and in compliance with established methods.Ensure plant and equipment are maintained in a good, safe working condition.Additionally, you may be asked to operate site equipment on occasion for short periods within your skill, training, and competence to meet the operational requirements.About you: You have a great attitude, a solid work ethic, and are seeking long term career prospects.You are seeking opportunities to exercise your previously gained skills as a dedicated and capable Plant mechanic.
