Job Description
Commencing in Late August - September 2024, you will report to and assist the Park Manager to manage a seamless Park operation through the provision of consistent high standards in product, food and beverage, guest services and a wide range of interpretative activities..
You will also:
1. Provide a versatile and hands-on approach to supporting your teams to ensuring quality standards, effective communication and consistency across all areas of the parks operation
2. Maintain leadership credibility in all areas of the park operation by exhibiting consistent high standards of personal ethics
3. Assist in ensuring teams are resourced accordingly and participating in recruitment activity as needed
4. Ensure that all employees receive a thorough park and department induction and sufficient on the job training
5. Liaise with the Park Manager regarding significant maintenance issues, repairs and additional projects
6. Monitor and maintain a high standard of safety of all guests, visitors and employees
This is a rewarding and challenging experience for the right person - no one day will be the same. Either the Park Manager or Assistant Park Manager will be required to live onsite (we are currently recruiting both roles). Onsite accommodation is available with subsidised rent as part of the contract of employment.
What you will bring:
Our ideal candidate will have relevant hotel/resort/park/tourism related experience where initiative, organisational and advance planning skills are essential. You will be able to demonstrate experience in overseeing teams and the ability to understand and interpret awards and certified agreements. You will also have experience in working in properties with onsite Food and Beverage operations. We welcome individuals that are innovative and have a customer and commercial focused mindset.
7. You will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and a confidence in understanding rostering and property management systems.
8. You will demonstrate a flexible attitude to work and the passion to work as part of an operational team who are hands on, confident and have a passion for delivering outstanding guest relations.
9. You are a hands-on leader; you walk the talk and can communicate to a team at all levels.
10. Previous experience in food adn beverage and tour based operations is a bonus.
