Policy Officer – VPS3 – Fixed term/Secondment (until November 2025) What you'll do As a Policy Officer within the VPSC's Integrity and Oversight branch, you will play a pivotal role in setting the standards and expectations about integrity, ethics and values for the Victorian public sector. Working collaboratively with colleagues across the branch, commission and broader sector, your core responsibilities will involve: the development of guidance on codes of conduct and standards sharing best practice in public sector administration, governance, and integrity in both formal and informal settings reviewing employment matters and proposing recommendations helping maintain a register of lobbyist, and responding to ad hoc integrity related queries. You will be someone a keen eye for detail and who understands the importance that integrity plays in the maintenance of public trust and effective public administration. As an ideal candidate you will possess: Exceptional written communication skills with an ability to prepare analytical reports and briefings. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to see things from multiple perspectives, work well with stakeholders at all levels and a customer focus, always looking at ways to do things better. A tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in Law, Public Policy, Public Administration or other relevant discipline would be well regarded.
