On behalf of Structure Building & Renovations Pty Ltd, a dynamic and forward-thinking construction company with a commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction, specialising in a wide range of construction services, including new builds, renovations, and remodelling projects in the Randwick, NSW 2031 area, we are conducting a search for a dedicated and skilled Wall and Floor Tiler.
Current Opening: This opportunity is a full-time position (38 hours per week).
Position Responsibilities and Tasks Measure and mark surfaces to be tiled, calculating the quantity and type of tiles required.
Prepare surfaces by cleaning and removing any existing materials, such as old tiles or adhesive.
Mix and apply adhesives, mortar, or grout to secure tiles in place, ensuring proper alignment and spacing.
Cut and shape tiles using hand tools or tile-cutting machines to fit around obstacles and create custom designs.
Install and align tiles, ensuring they adhere securely to surfaces and meet quality standards.
Seal and finish tiles by applying grout, sealants, or other protective coatings.
Repair or replace damaged tiles and grout as needed.
Work with various tile materials, including ceramic, porcelain, marble, and mosaic tiles.
Collaborate with other construction professionals, such as builders and architects, to coordinate tiling projects.
Follow safety protocols and regulations to ensure a secure and hazard-free work environment.
Keep up-to-date with industry trends, tools, and techniques to enhance tiling skills and efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills: Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling or a relevant qualifications A minimum of two-three years' experience in a similar role.
Proficient in various tiling techniques, including measuring, cutting, and applying adhesives.
Familiarity with different types of tiles, adhesives, grouts, and sealants.
Skill in preparing surfaces for tiling, including cleaning, leveling, and waterproofing.
Precision in tile placement, ensuring proper alignment, spacing, and aesthetic appeal.
Adherence to safety protocols and knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) regulations.
Competency in using a variety of tiling tools, including tile cutters, saws, and leveling systems.
Salary: The role offers a remuneration package ranging from $70,000 - $80,000, plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
