Subcontracts Manager - Mining and Metals industry Palisades is an Australian SME focused on delivering professional services for Government and Commercial clients.One of our leading clients is looking to hire a Subcontracts Manager.As a Subcontracts Management Professional, you will participate in contract formation and/or administration of contracts and subcontracts required to support your assigned project.Contract formation includes leading preparation and review of bid request packages and developing project contracts operating procedures.Contract administration includes continual progress review, forecasting, managing variations, communication with contractors and internal stakeholders, and communication of difficulties.Your work will ensure contract compliance with project requirements.Major Responsibilities: Contract Administration: Implements the Supply Chain Assignment Schedule which records the Project's agreed assignment of various contract management tasks and the Standard Work Process Procedures applicable to Contract Administration.Administers assigned contracts maintaining a continual review of progress and providing management with information regarding projected financial or technical difficulties.Coordinates with designated staff on operational activities affecting contractual rights and obligations, contract performance, contract administration, and other major matters.Administers complex contract changes by negotiating with customer personnel and obtaining settlement.Represents Bechtel in contractual discussions of moderate complexity.Contract Formation: Leads preparation of bid request packages, addenda, and other bid cycle correspondence to ensure proper format, content, and project requirements are met.Reviews bid tabulations for accuracy, bidder recommendation, completeness, and approves selection of suppliers within delegated approval authority.Reviews and recommends bid selections that require higher approval authority.Executes commitments within delegated signing authority.Develops, monitors, and maintains project master contracts forms, including legal and commercial terms and conditions to be included in the project contracts documents.Directs negotiations and prepares proposed negotiating plan in the commitment and resolution of commercial conditions of contracts when such action is agreed as necessary by the designated supervisor.Education and Experience Requirements: Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-13 years of relevant experience or 10-17 years of relevant work experience.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Broad experience in the formation, negotiation, and award of all types of contracts.Experience in developing complex contract types, fee arrangements, terms, and conditions.Working knowledge of change management procedures pertaining to Requests for Information (RFIs), change notices, change orders, amendments, and claims and dispute resolution.Skilled in working and communicating effectively with all levels of project functional groups.Experienced in supervising personnel, workload distribution, and execution of work.Working rights in Australia without employer sponsorship are required.Your application will include the following questions: Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia? #J-18808-Ljbffr
