Responsible for ensuring that HVAC installations are completed on time, within budget, and according to Australian standards, the HVAC Site Manager plays a crucial role in managing site operations, leading a team, and liaising with clients, employees, sub-contractors and suppliers.Key Responsibilities:Project Coordination and Planning:Plan and coordinate HVAC installation activities, ensuring that projects meet design specifications, compliance standards, and timelines.Review project plans, blueprints, and specifications with the project team and engineering teams to understand the scope and requirements.Create and maintain detailed work schedules and allocate resources effectively to meet project milestones.Team Supervision and Leadership:Lead and manage a team of HVAC technicians, subcontractors, and other site personnel.Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and ensure all team members follow safety protocols and company policies.Monitor team performance, provide training when necessary, and foster a positive work environment.Quality Assurance and Compliance:Conduct inspections and quality checks to ensure all installations meet Australian standards and regulations.Ensure all HVAC systems meet high standards and that all ITP documentation is completed.Coordinate with quality control teams to address any defects or discrepancies in a timely manner.Health and Safety:Promote and enforce strict health and safety policies in line with Work Health and Safety (WHS) regulations.Conduct regular site audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.Ensure all team members have appropriate PPE and safety training.Client and Stakeholder Communication:Maintain strong communication with clients, sub-contractors and other stakeholders.Report on project progress, potential delays, and any issues that may arise.Respond to client queries and concerns promptly and professionally.Budget and Cost Control:Monitor and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective procurement of materials and resources.Track expenses and report any budget variations to the project team.Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety.Qualifications and Experience:Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience in Commercial HVAC Construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.Licenses/Certifications: HVAC License, White Card, and valid Australian driver’s license. Additional certifications in First Aid and WHS preferred.Technical Skills: Strong understanding of HVAC systems, Australian standards and building codes.IT Skills: Proficient in using digital equipment such as iPads or laptops and familiar with digital tools for reporting and scheduling.Leadership: Ability to lead a team and manage multiple stakeholders effectively.Problem Solving: Quick and efficient problem-solving skills, especially under pressure.Attention to Detail: High standard for quality control and ensuring compliance with standards.Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to communicate complex information clearly.
