APS5 People Support Officer
The People Support Officer provides timely and effective support to the team of Case Managers, managers and employees through the triaging of People Support enquiries
Duties:
* Under broad supervision and guidance, assist with inbox management including responding to general enquiries, actioning and triaging requests and delegating or escalating work as appropriate.
* Support individuals by appropriately identifying issues and providing sound advice using departmental policies and procedures and relevant Commonwealth legislation.
* Manage sensitive case matters under the relevant departmental procedures and policies and relevant Commonwealth legislation.
* Demonstrate technical skills and knowledge in case management and human resources.

* Have an understanding of relevant people and case management related policies, practices and legislation.
* Work under broad supervision, applying effective problem solving and critical thinking skills to exercise sound judgment in consideration of immediate and long term issues.
* Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex issues and concepts clearly and concisely.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to be flexible and adaptable to manage day to day work changes and competing priorities effectively.
Requirements:
* Experience in Human Resources and/or case management is highly desirable.
* Experience as a Rehabilitation Case Manager in the Comcare Scheme under the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988 (SRC Act) and/or the completion of relevant Comcare training is desirable.
* Current Baseline security clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain.
* Australian Citizenship.
