This market-leading Aviation company requires an experienced Avionics Manager to be based at its Cairns facility.
This position, reporting directly to the Base Operations Manager, will be responsible for the operational management of the Avionics business in Cairns consisting of an avionics component workshop, over-the-counter sales, modification programs, and customer and OEM/Partner relations.
The Avionics Manager will compile budgets and will be responsible for the business P&L ensuring financial targets are met.
Additionally, this position will lead a team of technicians, salespeople, and support staff while fostering a culture of engagement and customer focus.
The Avionics Manager will champion Continuous Improvement and look for ways to optimize business costs, improve customer experience, and ensure excellence is delivered to the business.
With a focus on Quality, Safety, and Environment, your responsibilities include:
Operations in the facility are conducted in compliance with company policies and procedures.Engage with stakeholders to ensure a high level of ownership and optimize compliance.Provide input into the development and revisions of company procedures for continuous improvement of Avionics.Promote WHS and Environment programs and Aviation Safety Management Systems.People Leadership Management and positive outcomes of Staff engagement.Daily Performance Management of Avionics employees providing coaching, regular feedback, guidance, and support Management of employee training and development.Foster a culture of unwavering customer focus, always aiming to exceed customer expectations.Commercial Management:Weekly review of planning schedule to ensure schedules will deliver Avionics financial targets and meet customer expectations.Ensure the spare parts and material are ordered at the correct timeframes to meet project deadlines whilst maintaining appropriate inventory levels within Avionics.Ideally, you have experience in: Familiarity with/understanding of aircraft maintenance facilities and capabilities.Strong people management/interpersonal skills.Ability to achieve goals & objectives, individually and through others.Strong customer and service delivery focus.Job Offer · Company benefits
