Our practice offers a range of therapies utilising the latest dermatological technology, with the main focus being on skin cancer. The medical software used is Genie and Dermengine.You will be working in an environment that is dedicated to ensuring that patients receive the highest level of patient care in a professional and comfortable environment. As our Practice Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our patients receive exceptional service and support throughout their journey. The Role As our Practice Manager, your main objective will be to oversee the day-to-day functions and administration operations. From coordinating patient appointments to managing clinical files and accounts, you will be the backbone of our practice, ensuring that all reception and administrative tasks are completed efficiently. By taking care of these responsibilities, you will enable our esteemed specialist to focus on what they love most – providing high quality care to our patients.This is a permanent full-time position working 5 days per week. Hours are 7.30am to 5pm. There is flexibility with starting at 8.30-9am on the non-clinic days. The per hour rate is $38-$42 per hour negotiable depending upon previous skills and knowledge. The practice is located only a 7-minute walk from Kings Cross Station and bus routes. Your Duties & Responsibilities Answering of phone calls and attending to reception duties on clinic daysEfficient management of all patient data, clinical appointments, procedures, clinical files, correspondence and accountsScheduling and effective management of patient bookings in Genie softwareBe aware and have your finger on the pulse in relation to billing patient flow, patient care and theatre management Management and co-ordination of billings (consultation, surgical and health funds)Provide quotations to patients for proceduresCoordinate surgery admissions, hospital paperwork and theatre listsWork closely with the doctor to ensure the best possible experience is provided by the clinic to the patients and familiesMonitoring and maintenance of office and medical equipmentCoordinate accounts receivable and payable and maintain debt prevention Nurture and develop strong relationships with healthcare professionals and stakeholders within the health communityCoordinate with external suppliers and advisers Your Skills & Experience Previous experience as a Practice Manager (love to work for a solo practitioner and be a part of the expanding and growing the practice) or Medical Secretary/Medical Receptionist/Surgical Co-ordinator in a specialist environmentCompetent in using Genie medical software is desirable but training is available if requiredAdvanced computer skills and comfortable with utilising digital technology to streamline practice processes and for efficiencyA passion for providing exceptional customer serviceBeing the right hand of a busy specialist comes naturally to you and you are always ten steps ahead on account of your thorough organisation, planning and actionPassionate, energetic, results-focused and a 'can do' attitude.
