How this position will Make the Difference to City of Melbourne… The Accounts Officer provides financial, administrative and customer service support to the City Infrastructure Branch. The incumbent requires strong attention to detail, the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and process payments within corporate guidelines. The position proactively responds to enquiries and payments relating to the administration function of public lighting, power, utilities and other accounts as required. What you will bring...(selection criteria) Relevant experience in an accounts payable function Working knowledge of input of financial information into corporate systems and responding to financial related enquiries. Sound written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate with staff who have limited financial training. Proven commitment to quality customer service. Demonstrated attention to detail with the ability to follow up outstanding matters to their satisfactory conclusion. Intermediate computer skills including word processing and use of spreadsheets and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook).
