You will be able to navigate through and provide advice on complex and ambiguous emerging policy issues. The Manager (Policy Integration) will be able to lead and support a high-performing team while working closely with the Director.
More broadly the team looks at strategic transport policy issues as they emerge for Queensland's transport sector, with a focus on addressing climate change, through climate adaptation and decarbonisation, through the transition to zero emission vehicles. to contribute to Queensland Government's climate commitments.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
1. Provide advice on transport system priorities, policy and challenges related to the shaping of a sustainable and efficient transport system and other emerging transport policy issues.
2. Lead engagement activity within and outside the Transport Policy Branch on a range of emerging policy issues related to zero emission vehicles, climate change, and transport sector decarbonisation.
3. Represent the Department and participate in State-wide and National working groups related to transport system strategic policy matters.
4. Lead and participate in project teams, comprising internal and external resources to develop and implement policy and projects within agreed quality, cost and time parameters.
5. Manage a team, including the coordination of a broad range of policy and project tasks and activities, and day-to-day resourcing requirements, while creating a positive work environment that supports continuous improvement.
