Finance & Business Operations Lead

Your Responsibilities:
1. Take responsibility for the financial aspects of both day-to-day program operations.
2. Lead the development and management of financial strategies that drive portfolio growth, deliver program performance and achieve financial commitments.
3. Maintain strong relationships across the matrixed Finance & Business Operations team supporting the LOB.
4. Provide program financial inputs, guidance & support to LOB and Market Segment leadership within Australia and the US.
5. Support the development and execution of strategic business direction for the portfolio with a particular focus on financial performance, viability and growth.
6. Oversee the analysis of program financial performance (including managing structures for tracking and reporting) and effectively communicate outcomes to Australian/US leadership and customers.
7. Manage inputs to business growth opportunities to ensure adequate planning, estimating and pricing disciplines are performed.
8. Support customer and partner/subcontractor engagements on proposal activities including providing inputs into workshops, strategy meetings and negotiations.
9. In coordination with Program Managers, manage the allocation of Business Operations resources to programs across the LOB.
About You
We are looking for an experienced finance professional who has:
* Extensive professional experience and business success in a similar role within an engineering or project environment ensuring contractual compliance, cost management, budget development and analysis, financial estimating and proposal development.
* Extensive experience delivering against requirements, schedules and budgets in a complex and medium risk environment.
* Extensive experience in leading, developing and motivating teams, preferably across multiple sites.
* Advanced understanding of the interactions between programs and the engineering disciplines, finance, commercial, support and quality areas.
* Experience in negotiation and resolution of highly complex issues to achieve a positive, commercially focused outcome.
Special Requirements:
Applicants must be Australian Citizens and are required to hold and maintain AGSVAR security clearance at the required level. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable and as such, your citizenship (including dual citizenship) may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
